Ali Della Bitta

Artist and designer Ali Della Bitta brings a deep understanding of material, form, and craftsmanship to every space she creates. She received her BFA from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and her MFA from Purchase College in New York, developing a practice rooted in sculpture, ceramics, and the relationship between objects, environments, and human experience.

As a co-founder of Contemporary North, Ali brings an artist’s perspective to contemporary home design and building, approaching each project as a carefully considered composition of landscape, architecture, and experience. Her ability to see the potential of materials and environments allows each home to feel intentional, connected, and deeply rooted in its surroundings.

Drew Goerlitz

Drew Goerlitz is a sculptor, builder, and educator whose work explores the relationship between architecture, nature, and the human experience. Working primarily with steel, he draws inspiration from architectural history, reinterpreting classical forms through a contemporary lens.

His practice is deeply rooted in the natural world, with a particular connection to the rugged landscapes of the Adirondacks. His work explores themes of environmental change, sustainability, and our evolving relationship with the places we inhabit. Through an understanding of material, scale, structure, and movement, Drew creates work that feels both grounded in its surroundings and distinctly of its time.

As co-founder of Contemporary North, Drew brings his experience as an artist and builder into the design and construction of homes that thoughtfully connect architecture, art, and the natural environment. He lives and works in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York.

The Artist Collective

We collaborate with a network of independent artists to bring original artwork, craft, and creative expression into the spaces we build. Each collaboration adds a personal layer to the home, creating interiors that feel collected, considered, and uniquely connected to the people who live there.
